in progress

We are currently in the process of straightening up our 100 or so year old garage. As you can see from the bottom pictures, it had significantly started leaning to the alley side. There were three large doors, two sliding (one on the alley side and one on the yard side) and then a roll up garage door on the gable end thus significantly compromising the structural integrity of the structure. The end goal is to create a usable and modernized work space for Abe's business that retains the original structural feel of a single car garage/barn with a hay loft. We will also add on about 9 feet towards the yard side of the garage creating a salt-box style roof line. The finalized project will be insulated, sheeted with new siding (there were lots of weird cut outs in the old siding and the style isn't available to find anywhere now), fully operational with electrical and 220. We are very excited to get this project off the ground. We'll keep you posted with pictures and the project progresses. As you can see, the photos below show the first phase. Yeah!
