little thoughts tuesday

Greetings.  I just noticed that my last post was my 200th blogging post!  Wow, that is a lot of rambling posted out there on the www!

A few little things I've been enjoying lately:

  • albums
    • Joe Purdy's Paris in the Morning
    • Black Keys (new cd) El Camino
  • BUST magazine (picked it up at the gym and am thoroughly enjoying going through it, hard to describe but check it out at your local Barnes & Noble)
  • Sunset cookbook- I have made several soups from this already and they are all delicious!  So many beautiful and yummy looking things.
  • My iPhone- I never thought that I'd like a piece of technology so much but it truly is amazing.  It has an awesome quality camera built in, tons of super cool apps (my favorite being the Amazon app where you can take a picture and then use that picture to search their database and the shutterfly app- prompts me to download the pictures I've taken right to my online shutterfly site.)  It is easy to use and has worked excellently so far! Yeah.

It has been a beautiful February here so far (we're only on day 7 though) with near 50 degree temps and blue beautiful skies and wonderful sunsets and pink cloudy mornings.  Happy Tuesday.

afternoon in the park

Bucket- o baby

She thought it was so funny when she was in the swing with me pulling her legs and playing silly games with her.  Can't tell you how much I love hearing her laugh out loud- it is the best.

My sweetie decided to go down head first and did really well at it without any fear.  It was super cute- first time going down the slide by herself.

just a little bragging

Just thought I'd brag a little about what my husband has been making through his business
  Baraa Woodworking
.  He took this very cool retro desk chair that we got free on the street corner, had it recovered in leather and then made this super cool wood back that accents the metal and highlights the design.  It has really made this chair stand out and I get to enjoy it every day.
This is the reflection from a lovely little walnut mirror showing a reflection of our dining room.  Lately Abe has been making mirrors to put in galleries.  Currently he has work at Digs (a local mid-century furniture and eclectic fun shop), Artwood Gallery (in Fairhaven) and Northwest Fine Woodworking Gallery in Seattle.
Hop on over to Baraa's site to check out new work and pass it on if you know someone who needs awesome fine custom work.  We'd love it!
