An exercise in futility is: trying to feed an almost 6 month old rice cereal- hurdles include but are not limited to......getting her to open her mouth, getting her to swallow, getting her to not press the spoon out with her tongue, not grab the spoon and take it away, not spread the rice cereal all over her face & clothes, not shove her clothes in her mouth while I'm trying to feed her, etc. I cannot wait until she likes what she is eating and takes an active role but hey, it is only the second time she's tried eating anything and we did get through a whole serving (although most of it landed on the bib or all over her face.) Will keep you updated as things get more exciting!
